Jessica Weimer, LPC, BCN (she/her)
My first career love was neurofeedback. I wanted to help people make real changes faster. I knew that talking about things was important, but that it didn’t always work, or work as quickly as people hoped. And I struggled with the Western medicine paradigm of medicating everything to feel better. Too many side effects and it just didn’t work for everybody. It seemed there had to be a better way.
Neurofeedback provides an amazing opportunity to change physiology. I now primarily use Infraslow Fluctuation Neurofeedback because I have seen firsthand how it directly influences a client in the session, and there is emerging science that validates these biological changes. As my practice has evolved I have incorporated talk therapy and EMDR to provide additional routes for reprocessing of trauma. Most recently I have added Deep Brain Reorienting into my practice. With this, I have witnessed clients feel less triggered and become more embodied as they begin to unwind past trauma. It is a truly incredible tool.
I am originally from Michigan, and I have practiced primarily in Chicago, IL and Portland, OR, recently relocating to beautiful Denver, CO. Spending time with my partner and daughter brings me great joy, as does traveling and exploring alternative healing modalities. I love to read and research about the mind/body/spirit connection and I feel so grateful to join people on their healing journeys.
